JOE Policies
JOE Contrology Studio is for clients who value consistency, commitment, and long-term practice. My goal is to personally have a long-term and stable career and to run a studio filled with committed and regular clientele. To this end, I do not work with clients who require more than six weeks off per year, as this does not provide a stable enterprise for the studio. I also do not work with clients who wish to stop and start repeatedly. If you fall into these categories, JOE Contrology Studio may not be the right fit for you.
Membership Fees
Membership fees start on the day you join and recur weekly for open studio sessions. Private sessions are paid at the time of booking. All prices are in AUD. Missed payments should be reconciled promptly. Annual price adjustments support sustainable studio operations and fair, ongoing wage growth. Open Studio membership fees are not reduced or prorated for weeks where a public holiday falls, even if the week runs a day short. Clients may cancel their membership at any time; however, no refunds are available if a cancellation occurs during a working week that has already been paid for. To avoid being charged, please contact the studio before a new week of training begins.
I believe it is fair workplace practice that clients are able to take necessary sick leave, and likewise, there may be occasions when I need to cancel a session due to illness, travel, or other professional obligations. In these cases, no refunds will be offered for days missed, though sessions will be rescheduled where possible.
Studio Closures & Cancellations
Sessions may occasionally be cancelled due to illness, professional development, or work-related travel. Clients will be notified as early as practicable. The studio will be closed during scheduled holidays, and membership fees are paused during these periods. Sessions may also be closed if no participants are booked.
By attending sessions or holding a membership, clients acknowledge and agree to these policies.
